Your route to a live system.

Tell us what you’re on and where you’ll boot. The steps rewrite themselves — tick them off as you go. Nothing on your disk changes until you confirm the install inside AGI OS.

  1. Download the image

    agi-os-2026.09.24-x86_64.iso · x86_64 · about 2 GB

Checksum and release notes are on the release page ↗

  2. Check the fingerprint

    sha256sum ~/Downloads/agi-os-2026.09.24-x86_64.iso

  3. Find your stick

    lsblk -d -o NAME,SIZE,MODEL

Plug the stick in and note its name — sdb, for example. Size and model help you tell it apart.

  4. Write the image

    sudo dd if=~/Downloads/agi-os-2026.09.24-x86_64.iso of=/dev/sdX bs=4M status=progress oflag=sync

Replace sdX with your stick. Everything on that device is erased.

  5. Boot the ISO

Restart and press the boot-menu key — often F12, F11, F9 or Esc. Pick the stick marked UEFI. Firefox opens the installer at localhost:8787 by itself.
